ABOUT JACKSON
Jackson Alexander Wolny was born on October 2, 2009 in Naperville Illinois. He moved to Florida shortly after with his parents and received his first set of wheels at the tender age of two, and a driver was born. His parents, Al and Niki, chased after him in his little red Ferarri that year teaching him how to steer and control the car. He drove it everywhere, every day. As he grew Jackson developed a love of speed on scooters, dirt bikes, riding in dad’s sports cars and watching Formula 1. Many years later, finally tall enough to give indoor K1 racing a go, he surprised everyone by posting the top lap time of the month every time he would race. Seeing a talent emerging, Jackson's dad took him to try his hand at hi-speed karting and he was instantly hooked!
Jackson joined mid-season as a 10 year old in the Rookie class – and for the first time in his life drove a petrol powered kart. By season end he was contending for podiums against kids that had two to three times the experience.
Jackson has amazing hand/eye coordination and natural ability to provide valuable feedback. He takes instruction well and quickly applies it on a consistent basis. He is extremely hard working and applies a heavy dose of analytics to make his efforts stick and produce results. Jackson has been constantly improving at a rate that is extremely atypical for a driver with such little seat time.
Perseverance is not a long race; it is many short races one after the other.

progression
Jackson didn’t hit the karting track winning every race. These karts were totally new to him - they were outside, they were fast (55+ mph), they had modifications to understand, the races had rules, etc. - but what Jackson did do is improv, fast. Each race he grasped a new concept and impressed the coaching staff at the track with his intensity and ability to make changes to his line based on the conditions. His potential was flourishing. He turned the heads of out of state coaches and by the end of the year had won himself the “Joliet Karting Rookie of the Year” award. An honor bestowed on only one driver a year amongst all age groups.

Looking forward to the 2021 season, Jackson planned to participate in a SKUSA SuperKart race in Florida to try his hand at a different type of kart alongside nationally ranked drivers - as well as partake in every Ignite Series Challenge Race in the midwest, as well as the Joliet Autobahn Club Series.
With mounting success he entered the 2022 year as a Mini and won himself a ticket to Ireland to participate in the Tillotson T4 World Cup - where he placed 2nd! He was asked to race with Mottaz Motorsports as one of their Mini drivers. He decided he was ready for the next age bracket of racing, the Junior Division, and entered as one of the youngest drivers. Ready to raise his game - he took on the challenge of BOTH KA and X30 Junior divisions which was an immense physical and mental challenge. Here he paired up with his mechanic and buddy, Aaron, who helped Jackson navigate many different aspects of the karting world. While he excelled at both kart platforms, he found a niche in x30 and was improving each race and staying in the top half of finishers. By the end of the year he was in the top 20 nationally for both KA and x30 divisions.
2023 brought on a growth spurt, increased muscles, and a chance to race with the coveted Rolison Performance Group (RPG) team. Here he was coached by Ryan Norberg and with his guidance started seeing regular Top 5 finishes and even podiums on the National level!
